The current privacy policy explains what personal information DevScope collects from you when using PowerBI SmartPivot, an add-in for Microsoft Excel developed and operated by DevScope, and how that data is used, accessed, disclosed and stored. Collection of your personal information
Personal information is data that can be used to identify and/or contact a single person.
You may be asked to provide DevScope your personal information when in contact with any of our products or websites. Such information will always be used in compliance with the current Privacy Policy.
You are not required to grant DevScope any information we may request, but, if you choose to do so, we may not be able to provide you some products and services.
What personal information is collected by PowerBI SmartPivot and how is it used?
We collect as little personal information as possible and do it to provide our users with the best possible experience.
PowerBI SmartPivot collects the user's email when they log in using their Power BI account. That email is used to connect the user to their Power BI workspaces.
That email may also be used to market DevScope products or services. We never share or sell our users' email contact or other information to third-party companies.
Third-Party Service providers
PowerBI SmartPivot uses services provided by third-party entities, namely:
- Microsoft - Microsoft's Power BI API, Microsoft Power BI Embedded service, and Microsoft's unified login authentication. Please refer to Microsoft's privacy statement by clicking here. PowerBI SmartPivot must be used responsibly and in accordance with Microsoft Power BI API's Terms and the SLA for Power BI Embedded. Please refer to them respectively here and here.
PowerBI SmartPivot users who use any third-party login service must adhere to that service's respective policies. DevScope is not responsible for the use or misuse of any personal data by third-party service providers.
Protection of your personal information
DevScope works hard to protect you and your data from unauthorized access to the information you supply us.
All collected information from DevScope users is encrypted but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
EU General Data Protection Regulation
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), your personal data is processed and retained for the purposes listed above, conferring DevScope grounds of "Legitimate Interest" for personal data under article 6 of the GDPR.
DevScope has procedures in place to deal with suspected of data security breach. All affected parties in a data breach will be notified, as well as all regulators required by law.

You may request access to your personal data at any time or request DevScope to delete any personal information from you by contacting our team at support@devscope.net.
